Connect Grafana Cloud.

Authorize Perfloop in Grafana Cloud, then choose a Prometheus or Loki data source from your stack.

Access you need

  • Grafana authorizationApprove read and query access in Grafana Cloud. Perfloop requests grafana:read and grafana:query.
  • one stackEnter your Grafana Cloud stack URL. Perfloop uses this stack for all reads.
  • one data sourceSelect the Prometheus or Loki data source you want Perfloop to read.

Setup

1 · authorize Perfloop

In Perfloop Setup, select Grafana Cloud, then Connect Grafana Cloud. Review and approve the read and query access in Grafana Cloud.

2 · enter the stack

After Grafana Cloud returns you to Setup, enter the stack URL and load its data sources.

3 · select one source

Choose one Prometheus or Loki data source. Perfloop checks access before it saves the connection.

Data Perfloop reads

  • Data-source metadata. Perfloop can receive UID, name, type, and support status for sources visible to the grant.
  • Query results. The selected source can return Prometheus or Loki query results through Grafana Cloud's hosted MCP endpoint.
  • OAuth tokens. Access and refresh tokens stay at the proxy and are not exposed to the browser, controller, sandbox, or model.

Query limits

  • Only one Prometheus or Loki source is connected per connection.
  • The selected UID and stack stay fixed for every read. A query cannot choose another data source.
  • For profiles, use the Grafana connection with a Pyroscope data source.

Credentials and network access

If you enter a token in Setup, your browser sends it to Perfloop over HTTPS. Tokens from provider authorization go directly to Perfloop.

Perfloop encrypts the credential and uses it only for requests within your connection's scope. Models and execution sandboxes do not receive it.

Requests go to the provider's public HTTPS endpoint. Redirects cannot send the credential to another host.

Change or remove access

Authorize Perfloop in Grafana Cloud again to replace the grant, stack, or selected source. Revoke the OAuth client or grant in Grafana Cloud to stop later reads.

Removing access does not delete connection details or results already stored in Perfloop.
