Connect Polar Signals.
Connect profiles from your Polar Signals project. Perfloop reads the workloads you select and uses their profiles to find performance improvements.
Access you need
- one projectEnter the ID of the Polar Signals project you want to connect.
- project read permissionUse a separate account for Perfloop. Give it a custom role with only data.readpermission in this project. Authorize Perfloop with that account or enter its Bearer token.
- profile selectorsChoose workloads with a selector such as
{service_name="api"}. Use the labels attached to your profiles.
Setup
1 · create the dedicated reader
In Polar Signals, create an account for Perfloop with only data.readpermission in the selected project.
2 · set the project and selectors
In Perfloop Setup, select Polar Signals. Enter the project ID and one exact profile selector per workload.
3 · authorize Perfloop
Authorize Perfloop in Polar Signals or enter the reader's Bearer token. Perfloop checks access to the project and selected profiles before it saves the connection.
Data Perfloop reads
- Profile metadata. Profile types, ranges, selectors, and workload labels are returned to Perfloop.
- Selected profile data. Selected pprof files and their labels can be retained as evidence.
Query limits
- Profiles are samples from the selected time window. A merged profile does not show whether samples cover every moment in that window.
- Each query stays within your selected project and workload, with a specified profile type and time window.
- Profile labels and function names can contain sensitive identifiers. Review the profiles for your selected workloads before connecting.
Credentials and network access
If you enter a token in Setup, your browser sends it to Perfloop over HTTPS. Tokens from provider authorization go directly to Perfloop.
Perfloop encrypts the credential and uses it only for requests within your connection's scope. Models and execution sandboxes do not receive it.
Requests go to the provider's public HTTPS endpoint. Redirects cannot send the credential to another host.
Change or remove access
Reauthorize or replace the connection in Setup to rotate access or change the selector list. Revoke the grant or token in Polar Signals to stop later reads.
Removing access does not delete connection details or results already stored in Perfloop.
